The annual Day at the Dome and Capitol Build events combine Advocacy and action to further the mission and vision of Habitat for Humanity Texas – seeking to put god’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope, envisioning a world where everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home.

Day at the Dome encourages volunteers, community members, and all Texans to advocate for affordable, safe housing across Texas at the Capitol prior to the Capitol Build. Attendees and volunteers engage with, speak to, and educate legislators throughout the day with the goal of advocating for policies that alleviate housing inafforability and ensure housing safety.
